About The Peninsular Campaign
The Peninsular Campaign is an independent campaign based on the conflict in the Spanish Peninsula between 1811 and 1814. It was during this era that the Spanish resistance gave their style of fighting its name: Guerrilla, or the “little war”.
Play the campaign from three different perspectives, each with a unique feel:
• The French fight to keep resistance at bay while converting regions to their political alignment.
• The British are very limited for regions at the start but receive enough income from Northern Europe and North America that they can afford to liberate regions back to the Spanish in return for Guerrilla aid.
• The Spanish also have a limited starting position but have permanent access to Guerrillas for effective battlefield use against the French.
Choose one of the three nations involved - France, Great Britain or Spain - and experience one of the most intense conflicts of the Napoleonic era.
Key Features:
• A new and independent Iberian Peninsula campaign map featuring 32 controllable regions.

About Coalition Battle Pack
The Coalition Battle Pack features 6 brand new units and contains the Battle of Friedland fought between France and Russia.
The Battle of Friedland (14 June, 1807) with Napoleon's empire at its height, he took a chance and defeated Russia in detail, knocking them out of the war and bringing the Fourth Coalition to an end.
Unit Descriptions:
• Lifeguard Hussars: This fast light cavalry unit is best used for dealing with skirmishers and artillery who can attack from long range.
• Coldstream Guards: Disciplined, well-trained and respected, these elite foot guards inspire nearby troops in battle.

사이트리뷰[Review]: (소개부분에 링크)
화약병기가 등장하지 않는 다른 작품들과 비교하기는 힘들 것 같고, 비슷한 엠파이어 토탈 워와 비교할 수는 있겠다.
1. 신대륙이 등장하지 않는 이유로 공간 자체는 좁아졌다. 그러나 우려와 달리 스케일이 작지는 않다. 지역이 더욱 세분화되어 있고, 소도시, 지형, 적 세력의 밀도가 높아 월드맵에서의 전략적 판단은 더 중요해졌다. 신대륙이 없어도 좋다. 아무 것도 없는 멕시코 지역을 쓸데 없이 지나가는게 무슨 재미가 있겠는가.
2. 대포의 종류는 조금 줄어들었다. 전작의 퍼클건 등의 특이한 것들은 사라지고 간단하게 직사포, 곡사포, (최후반에 한 종류 등장하는)로켓 정도로 한정되지만, 그 중요성은 역시 높다. 대포를 사용하기 위해 나폴레옹이 불가피하게도 워털루 전투의 개전 시간을 네 시간 늦춘 것을 생각하면, 당시 포병의 중요성이야 뭐...
3. 나폴레옹의 삶을 따라가는 캠페인.
물론 완벽한 게임은 아니고, 아쉬운 점도 분명히 있다. 전투 ai는 개선되기는 했지만, 아직은 부족하다.
1. 육지전의 경우 무조건 중앙에 전열보병을 배치하고 외곽에 경보병-포병-기병을 배치하는 틀에 박힌 전법을 구사한다. 종종 기병을 먼저 개돌시켜 헌납하고 시작하는 증상도 여전. 또한 지형을 잘 이용하지 못한다. 개활지 전투를 상정하고 만들어진 ai가 아닌가 싶다. 또, 러시아 ai만의 문제일지는 모르겠는데, 전열보병이 3열로 진군하지 않고 12열(!)의 두터운 진형을 짜서 포병의 밥이 되는 경우도 몇 번 보았다.
2. 해전의 경우, 모든 함선이 기차놀이를 하듯이 진격해온다. 트라팔가에서 프랑스, 스페인 연합함대가 그 짓 하다가 넬슨에게 박살난 건 모르나보다.
3. 공성전의 ai는 매우 엉망이다. 특히 ai는 요새를 절대로 방어하지 못한다. 요새 공격전에서는 반드시 수동전투를 하자. 직사포로 전면 성벽을 박살내고 곡사포로 남은 병력을 몰살하는 동안 ai는 아무것도 하지 않는다. 플레이어 입장에서는 손 안 대고 코 푸는 격.
ai 문제뿐 아니라 전투맵이 한정된 것도 아쉬운 점이다. 항상 똑같은 재탕맵은 숙련된 유저가 경직된 플레이로 ai를 박살내는데 전혀 어려움이 없게 만든다. 후속작 로마2에서는 이 부분이 완벽히 개선되었다는 점에서 본작에 대한 아쉬움이 남는다.
그래도 이래저래 참 훌륭한 게임이긴 하다.
나폴레옹의 캠페인 외에 역사적 전투 역시 있는데, 최고 난이도로 워털루 전투에서 승리했다고 해서 자신이 나폴레옹보다 낫다고 착각하지는 말자. 게임에는 나폴레옹이 치질 때문에 쉬러 들어간 사이에 미셸 네 원수가 지휘하는 기병연대가 명령 신호 착오로 적진에 돌진했다가 패배하는 정도의 디테일함은 없다.

모드도 찾아보면 많아서 입맛에 맞게 플레이 할수 있고 단점이라면 맵이 엠토와 다르게 유럽에 한정되있어서 좀 작다는거
