도시부에서 멀지 않은 간토 외곽 지역. 산 너머 황야에 세워진 '전지구방위군' EDF 기지를 돌연 나타난 거대한 우주선단이 습격한다.
인류가 처음 접하는 위협. 그 이름은 바로 '프라이머'다.
EDF 기지의 지하 깊은 곳까지 침입하는 거대 곤충형 괴물.
무수한 공격. EDF가 드디어 반격을 개시한다.

총을 맞은 부위의 껍질이 벗겨져서 흩 뿌려지거나 체액이 건물에 부착되는 등 전투 묘사가 업 그레이드되어 EDF 세계로의 몰입도가 더욱 향상되었다.

STORY
This is no training exercise.
This is the living nightmare we'd all feared.
It all started in Japan, 2022. An immense fleet of starships laid siege to an EDF base located in the rough city outskirts in the Kanto region.
This was an enemy humanity had never encountered, the Primers. Even worse, enormous insects attack the EDF base built even further underground. The EDF fights back.
Even more realistic battles
Armor will peel off where you shoot enemies, and their fluids will spill out onto buildings and floors, making you feel like you're truly on the EDF's battlefield.
4 EDF classes powered up like never before
As the player, take on missions with one of four classes. Finish missions to unlock new ones and advance the story. You can switch classes before missions as many times as you'd like.

1.체력치가 윙다이버는 빨간박스 5개에 1상승.타병과는 4 개에 1상승(무슨 클래스로 노가다를 하든 같이 체력상승)
2.하드레벨 을 클리어하면, 하위레벨까지 클리어된다.
3.레인져,윙다이버,팬서는 전투력상승 위젯템의 슬롯이 추가되었다.(에어라이더는 무기 한개더 쓸수있음)

게임은 굉장히 투박해 보이지만, 성향만 맞으면 진짜 쫄깃하게 재미있다. 맵이 반복되는데도 지루함을 못 느낄 정도.
다만 일부 DLC 구간은 진짜 이걸 깨라고 만들어놓은건지 싶은 구간도 있는데, 체력과 무기를 좀 모아와서 깨면 그래도 비벼볼만 하다.
