본작은 굉장히 역사적인 게임입니다. 바바예투(BaBa YeTu)라는 명곡을 남긴 게임이기도 하며, CIV 3에 비해 UI적으로 크게 개선되었습니다.
실제로 플레이해보면 그래픽적으로는 확실히 Civ 5에 못 미치나, UI적으로는 굉장히 Civ 5와 비슷함을 느낄 수 있습니다.

Baba Yetu! 주제곡 하나만으로도 살 가치가 있다!! 는 과장이고, 설치 폴더의 음악 파일들이 정말 좋다.인간사에서 종교가 얼마나 갈등을 일으키는지 여실히 보여준, 시리즈 최초의 3D 작품. 전문가와 위인 시스템, 사회 정책 시스템 등 새로운 요소가 많고 복잡하지만 그래서 더 재미있다.
