<Quake>는 ‘진정한 의미’에서 3D FPS입니다. 고저차가 구현되었으며 모든 적과 투사체는 폴리곤이고, 이에 걸맞는 곡사포 무기와 Z축을 활용한 복잡한 맵구성을 선보이는 작품이기 때문입니다. 무엇보다 제대로 된 키보드+마우스 컨트롤, 즉 마우스 프리룩이 드디어 실현되었습니다. 그에 따라서 거리감을 조절하는 느낌이나 회피기동 방식도 달라졌고요. 달리기로 유사점프를 실현하던 것과는 달리 스페이스 바로 진정한 점프가 가능해졌습니다. 감동, 또 감동.
