콜 오브 듀티 4: 모던 워페어의 후속작. 2011년에 스팀을 처음으로 입문하게 해주었던 게임이다. 500시간이 넘는 플레이타임을 가지고 있었으나 밴 사태 당시 언밴되면서 플레이 타임이 증발했으므로 평가에 비해 짧은 플레이 시간에 의문을 제기하지는 말자!
모던워페어2는 모던워페어1을 잇는 최고의 콜 오브 듀티 시리즈이다.
반전을 거듭하는 스토리, 머리를 때리는 듯한 민간인 학살 장면의 충격. 싱글 플레이만 10번 정도 클리어한 것 같다. 그래도 재미있다. 이렇게 많이 같은 게임의 싱글 스토리를 반복적으로 플레이한 경우는 내 삶에서 이전에도 없었고, 이후에도 없지 않을까? 게임 중 최고의 요소를 뽑자면 물론 스토리겠지만, 스토리와 함께 긴박한 상황 속에서 아주 적절하게 어우러지는 최고의 OST들 또한 게임의 맛을 살려주었다. 그래서인지 비디오 게임 최초 뮤지컬 사운드트랙부문 legendary Academy Award® 수상 기록이 있다.

* 개인적으로는 3부작 최고의 작품이라고 생각.
* 스타워즈 시리즈로 치면 제국의 역습이랄까.
* 고증측면...에서는 엉망진창 혼파망이지만 당시 이거 신경쓰는 인간 아무도 없었다.
씹밀덕들이나 씹고뜯고맛보고 즐기겠지.
* 이 게임 최악의 적은...러시아 공수부대도, 초국수주의자 테러리스트들도 아닌 브라질 헤깐헤깐
무슨 빈민가 깡패들이 특전사 뺨치는 사격정확도를 보인다..;;; 그것도 갑툭튀 갑툭튀x2
