1899년 미국.

락스타의 정통 서부극을 대표하는 게임 레드 데드 리뎀션 2이다.
시간대는 레드 데드 리뎀션에서 12년 전인 1899년으로 무법자인 주인공 아서 모건과 반 더 린드 갱단의 이야기를 담고 있다.
작품 자체는 게임 명가 락스타답게 명작이다. 잘 짜여진 훌륭한 스토리와 서부극의 클리셰를 맛볼 수 있는 몇 안되는 게임이며
