사이트리뷰[Review]: (소개부분에 링크)

이미 같은 말이 여러번 나왔지만 오픈월드에 소닉의 플레이스타일을 정말 잘 녹여냈다
넓게 펼쳐진 필드에서 달리는것만으로도 상당히 재미있으며 전투가 생각 외로 굉장히 재미있었다
기존 소닉 게임 스타일의 전뇌공간같은 경우도 걱정에 비해 재밌게 플레이했음 하지만 전뇌공간이 메인이 아니라 어디까지나 서브 컨텐츠라서 가능한 평가인듯
그리고 보스전 전투가 너무 재미있었음 ost 연출 타격감 뭐하나 빠지는게 없었다고 생각
소닉에게 성장요소가 생겼는데 그게 게임플레이를 방해할 정도의 소닉에게 장애를 주진 않음 뭣하면 낚시로 성장을 날먹해버릴수도 있다 스피드 이외엔 체감도 크게 안나는 편

단점을 좀 말해보자면
카메라가 좆같을때가 많음. 특히 강제 시점고정이 너무 짜증났음
또 후반 날림이 꽤 심함 이전에 플레이했던 챕터 생각하고 후반으로 가면 좀 실망할수있음
그리고 번역이 좀 문젠데 한글 번역 자체는 문제가 없음 근데 번역이 일본어 기준이라 기본 설정인 영어 음성과 자막과의 괴리가 심하고 일본어 대사가 영어 대사보다 깊이가 없음 영어 자막으로 플레이하거나 자막 안보고 영어음성을 듣기만 하는게 훨씬 낫다 스토리 몰입에 방해가 됐던 큰 요소라고 생각함

소닉 게임을 이렇게 재밌게 한게 소닉3, 소닉 매니아 이후로 정말 오랜만인것 같다
앞으로 어떤 게임이 나올진 모르지만 지금으로선 내게 있어 최고의 소닉 게임

장점
+ 성공적인 플레이 스타일 교체
기존의 선형적인 레벨 클리어형 구조에서 필드탐험 + 던전 입장 및 클리어, 보스 퇴치라는 개방적인 구조로 플레이스타일을 일신했다.
전투의 비중이 굉장히 높아졌는데, 몹한테 순식간에 달라붙어 공격을 요리조리 피하고 쉴새없이 두들겨패는 소닉의 이미지를 전투에 녹여내는데 성공했다.
물론 간단한 버튼조작으로 화려하게 싸울 수 있고, 초보자들 전용 옵션들까지 확실히 마련했기에 적응하는데 어려울 걱정은 필요없다,
+ 부족하지 않은 속도감
일자형 스테이지를 달려나가던 이전 플레이 스타일의 정체성이 바로 엄청난 속도감이였기
때문에 이번작에서 플레이어들의 최고 걱정거리중 하나가 속도감의 저하였으나,
결과적으로 프론티어의 속도 및 속도감은 결코 낮지 않다. 맵이 상당히 넓음에도 불구하고 먼 거리까지 이동하는데에 시간 소요가 크지 않을 정도.
기본 상태의 소닉만 해도 꽤 빠르지만, 업그레이드를 통해 더욱 더 빠르게 진화시킬 수 있다.

 

단점
- 기술적인 문제들 (강제 프레임 고정, 팝인 등)
가장 큰 문제라고 생각하는 문제. 프레임이 강제로 고정되는 문제도 문제지만, 가장 큰 문제가 팝인이다.
빠른 속도로 뛰어다니다 보면 허공에 널판지들이 슉슉 생겨난다. 부자연스럽고 미관을 해친다.

- 시간에 쫒겨 만든게 티나는 후반부 진행
이 점은 게임 플레이와 스토리 모두 해당된다. 초반부부터 중반부까지는 반복적이지만 짜임새있는 진행을 보여주나 후반부에 들어서면 중복되는 섬 디자인, 연속적인 색놀이 몹들의 출현, 초반부와 비교했을때 어딘가 엉성한 보스배틀같은 요소들이 눈에 띄기 시작한다. 초반부가 괜찮은 게임들은 당연히 자연스레 후반부의 마무리를 기대하게 만드는데, 이 게임의 후반부는 그런 기대를 충족시켜주지 못한다. 여러모로 시간에 쫒겨 만든 티가 나는 부분.
