전연령층이 받아들일 수 있는 스토리, 아기자기한 SD 캐릭터들, 적당한 수준의 레벨노가다, 익숙한 팔콤식 일러스트, 수려한 배경음악, 이 모든 것들이 알맞은 그릇 안에 차곡차곡 잘 담겨진 느낌입니다.
스토리는 다소 유치하게 느껴질 순 있지만 내러티브 자체는 상당히 탄탄하고 잘 조직되어있습니다. 각각의 인물들은 결코 서두르지 않고 차근차근 캐릭터성을 구축해나갑니다. 세계관 역시 스토리의 전개와 함께 잘 전달됩니다. 단, FC가 First Chapter의 약자인 만큼(스팀판에선 FC를 떼고 나오긴 했지만) 떡밥을 전부 회수하지 않고 후속작으로 미뤄버려, 하나의 이야기로서 완결성이 다소 떨어지는 점은 약간 불만족스럽습니다.
그래픽은.....그다지 할 말이.... 한때 팔콤의 감탄스러운 도트 노가다가 회자될 때가 있었지만, 이제 팔콤 게임에서 그래픽을 기대하긴 힘들 것 같습니다...... 아기자기하고 귀여운 맛이 있다고는 하지만 솔직히 미적으로 그리 아름답진 않습니다. 그래픽의 수준을 말하는 것이 아니라 내적인 완성도랄까요.... 2005년 발매당시의 기준으로 생각해도 그렇습니다. 그보다 5년 전에 발매되었던 브레스 오브 파이어4 같은 작품은 훨씬 더 보는 맛이 있었죠.
전투는 평범한 수준입니다. 나름 타일 식 전투 맵에 행동 순서 요소도 있지만 전략성은 그다지 강조되지 않습니다. 전형적이고 반복적인 배틀 인카운트 시스템에서 별로 벗어나지 못한 점은 아쉽습니다. 공격할 때 이동 위치를 따로 지정할 수 없는 것도 약간 짜증나고요.(이동을 하면 턴이 종료됩니다. 공격하고 턴을 종료하는 것보단 일찍 턴이 돌아오지만.) 약간 어렵다 싶은 전투도 그저 게이지를 모아서 필살기를 쓰거나 아츠(마법) 난사로 풀어나가는 식이라 긴장감 넘치는 전투는 손에 꼽을 정도로 적습니다.
고맙게도 완벽한 한글화 패치가 있습니다! 덕분에 아주 쾌적하게 플레이할 수 있었습니다. 이 자리를 통해서나마 감사를 표하며 링크를 남깁니다.

요즘 RPG 게임에 신물이 나고 예전에 하시던 RPG를 하고 싶으시다면 강력히 추천합니다.
줄거리, 캐릭터, 세계관, 배경음 등 하나같이 흠잡을 데가 없는 작품입니다.
예전에 나온거와 달리 1920 x 1080 해상도도 지원하니 그래픽이 한결 더 나아 보이기도 하네요 ^^
혹시 그래픽을 중요시 여기시는 분이라면 좀 실망하실수도 있을겁니다.
스팀에 어제 등록돼서 그런지 오늘 해보니 게임 시작조차 제대로 안 되던데
저 같은 경우 게임 시작하기 전 게임 옵션에서 High Resolution Fonts를 꺼주니 잘 됐습니다.
동영상 문제는 계속 알아봐야 겠네요.. 윈도우 7,8 사용자분들만 겪으실거 같은데 옵션에서 disable movies 에서 logo, opening 부분을 눌러주시고 하셔도 될거 같습니다.. 해당 동영상은 게임 설치폴더에 가시면 있고 보통 동영상 플레이어로 재생 가능합니다.
