사이트리뷰[Review]: (소개부분에 링크)

말이 필요없는 개꿀잼 완벽한 리메이크말도 안되게 리메이크 해버림. 그저 킹갓겜. 하프1은 한적없고 하프2 다음에 블랙메사로 접한건데 하프2 개인적으로 그냥 할만하다 이정도 였는데 블랙메사? 그냥 미친 꿀잼. 하프2 때 마냥 ㅈ같은 빌런 메뚜기도 없고 깔끔해서 너무 좋음 그래픽도 좋아서 멀미 별로 없었던게 제일 좋았음. 그리고 이 게임의 진정한 진가는 -젠- 부터 시작임.. 진짜 생각만 해도 세계관의 광범위함에 웅장해짐,,

- 재구축되면서 훼손된 원작의 디자인
상술한 On a Rail 챕터는 아에 본작에서 삭제되다시피 하였고 , 다수의 챕터가 레벨디자인이 재구축이 되었는데 ,
오리지날 하프라이프팬들은 이런 요소에 민감할 수 있어 단점 or호불호 요소.
블랙메사는 단순하게 보면 하프라이프1의 그래픽 개선판으로 생각할수 있지만 , 흔히 보이는 리마스터 게임들과 달리 제작자들이 현세대 게임에 맞게 레벨을 신경 쓴 부분도 있으며 , 독자적으로 창조한 구간에서 보여주는 게임 흡입력을 보면 ,
단순 리마스터가 아닌 , 하나의 강점을 가지고 있는 게임으로 보면 되겠다.
